Ankle valgus
Last Updated: 11/03/2006
Ankle valgus is a condition where the ankles roll in, compromising the stability and alignment of the body. Failure to treat ankle valgus can lead to chronic ankle instability including sprains and progressive weakening of the ligaments. Varying degrees of foot pain in the lower legs and ankles is often associated with this condition.

Ankle valgus shoes, when constructed properly, help to counteract the foot’s natural tendencies while decreasing the likelihood of injury. Drew footwear with its extended medial heel stabilizer and the added support of a steel shank is ideally suited to help improve foot alignment and reduce the chronic pain associated with ankle valgus.
