The Joerns Hoyer Patient Lift seen here comes from one of the most respected manufacturers in this industry, and we're able to make it available to our customers at a greatly discounted cost. The Hoyer Ascend Stand-Up Lift is especially designed for individuals who have difficulty going from a seated to a standing position (or vice-versa). It greatly reduces the stress involved in patient transfer and even encourages patient participation with its uniquely designed active lifting motion.
Another great benefit of this Hoyer Ascend Sit-To-Stand Lift is how much easier it makes patient care for a caregiver. Common tasks such as dressing and toileting can be made much simpler, and the unit is incredibly maneuverable for easy transfers.
The Ascend Lift provides a quick, safe way to assist those who have trouble standing. Because stand-up lifting is less stressful for the resident, and quicker and easier for the caregiver, the Ascend simplifies dressing, toileting and transfer routines.
With its unrivaled range of movement, the Ascend can transfer a resident from a low-seated position to fully extended with ease. Its active lifting motion is specially designed to encourage user participation, which ultimately promotes resident independence and well-being.
As well as being compact and easy to operation in confined spaces such as bathrooms, the Ascend has many key design features that make it a truly flexible piece of equipment.
The Ascend runs on a rechargeable battery and is very easy to use. It takes the patient from a seated position to standing position at the touch the Lift button. Press the Down button and slowly return the patient to the seated position. The base legs are also motor driven - operated by the hand control.
The knee pad is adjustable in height (by 6 inches) to ensure the resident feels comfortable and is fully supported throughout the lifting process. The pad, which has a molded design to provide additional support, also has a leg strap for those residents needing additional reassurance.
Place the sling behind the patient's back between base of shoulder blades and bottom of rib cage. Attach the Velcro straps around the front of patient if needed. Ensure the patient's arms are outside the strap.
Position the Ascend so the patient's knees rest against the knee pad and the patient's feet are in the foot trays. Attach the strap loops with the white hooks at the end of the Ascend's hand grips. The patient's hands should be on the hand grips. Push the UP button on hand control to raise the patient to the standing position.
