Scooters are available in Bariatric, heavy-duty, mid-size, and portable versions. Portable scooters are increasingly popular now that technology has mastered the assembly and disassembly process.
The
Pride GO-GO Scooter is currently one of the most popular Pride Scooter model lines, which consists of totally portable units that easily break down into four or five easy to manage components for fast storage and transport. These new high-tech units are easy and fun to drive, stylish, travel at more than four miles-per-hour and have a battery life, with two battery-size options, that can last up to ten miles of travel.
Who can safely use a Scooter:
Scooters require the user to be capable of sitting up straight in the seat and able to steer the scooter with the tiller mounted handlebars. Throttle and breaking are performed by operating a thumb control located on the handlebars.
Power & Range:
Battery size has everything to do with driving range and the scooter's actual power. Smaller battery sizes are found in most of the compact-size portable scooters to save weight. However, most offer excellent range for what they are. The larger, full size scooters use NF22 or GRP24 battery sizes for both longer range and power.
Delivery & Assembly:
In most cases your scooter will arrive with the base in one box and the seat in another box. Customer must set the seat on the scooter. All seats are easily secured without tools. Smaller scooters are shipped with the batteries pre-installed while larger, full-size, heavier scooter's batteries are shipped in separate containers and must be installed.
