Just what I was looking for February 4, 2015
Reviewer: L Adams from Horseshoe Bend, ID United States
I only received my U-Step II yesterday so I haven't had much opportunity to use it but my initial impression is that it will help me a lot.  I have had multiple sclerosis for more than 40 years and, while I am able to walk in a limited environment,  I need a power wheelchair away from the house.  I have a cane that I can use for short distances, but I am hoping the U-Step II will fit somewhere in the middle. To help me on ground that is too much for the cane but I would be able to manage without the wheelchair

U-Step II November 22, 2014

The service I received from PHC was excellent.  They answered my pre-purchase questions and shipped the walker very quickly.  I received it in good order and shape.  And, i had no trouble assembling it.  The directions were fine.

However, i'm disappointed in the walker.  It is very large and very heavy for every day use in cars and suv's.  My wife, who has Parkinson's, is very small and frail, as are many Parkinson's patients.  They should really make a version of this for smaller people.  It is very stable; rolls and turns beautifully on hard wood floors.  Not so much on carpet.  She struggles to push it.  It will not fit in 22 inch bathroom doors; but i knew that before ordering it.  That, too, should be fixed in the future.  There is no reason not to shorten the width by 2 inches.  This product has wonderful possibility.  Alas, it is not fully realized and should be for the enormous cost of the unit.  I'm sorry to give it only two stars.

This is an expensive product and took a whole month for delivery, but once we received it my husband was able to use it right away. It is a wonderful product and now he can move around the house without worry of falling.

excellent for us
Reviewer: Felicia S. from Gulf Shores, AL
My husband has Parkinson’s and needed a walker that would help prevent him from falling.  We tried a standard walker but that didn’t work well. I called PHC and they recommended the U-Step II.  The walker provides more stability because the U shape surrounds him, more maneuverability because the turning wheels are towards the base middle. It also is only 22” wide making doorways an easy pass through. It is everything it’s advertised to be.

My mother has MS and  balance issues. Upon the advice of PHC I ordered the U-Step ii walker and it offers her much more stability than her previous walker. The reverse brakes and the rolling resistance are also helpful features. So glad I found this.

ustep walker
Reviewer: Bev J. from Tempe, AZ
Walker was delivered in 2 days - excellent. My husband suffers from Parkinson's and seems to be getting worse this last 6 months. This kind of walker was recommended by his neurologist and it does work better than his old walker. It stays in the house since he doesn't leave home anymore, but at least he's getting some exercise everyday. It's a rather large walker compared to the old one but he can manage it pretty well except for the rooms where we have carpet. Very expensive walker but without it I'm afraid he would forget how to walk so I make him use it every day.

Mother is using daily - ok

Purchased for my mom. She's had problems in the past with using a walker rollator and has fallen several times. So far so good - we've had this new walker almost a month and she is pretty steady with it. We kept an eye on her for the first couple weeks and could see that she manages well with this type of brake.

My wife can safely move about in our home. Was disappointed medicare would not cover this item. So when I realized it would be an out of pocket expense I shopped around. This store had the best price, it was instock, and most of all I could call and talk to someone about it - the sales lady was very helpful.
