Most chairs in this category have Desk-Length arms, a shorter arm that allows rolling up to a desk or table. All are folding-frame chairs and are available in 17" and 19" seat widths.

Removable/Drop Arm Transport Chairs

Removable-Arm Transport Wheelchairs are preferred by users that must perform a lateral transfer into or out of the chair. Some use a transfer board into the seat while others may simply slide into the seat. In either case, anyone transferring into the chair by themselves may require this type of arm arrangement for the lateral transfer.
