The Jay Ion Cushion uses the latest cushion technology: Aqua-guard zipper, anti-wicking seam thread, silver impregnated X-Static anti-microbial stretch fabric, and reticulated foam.

The Ion is a comfortable, convenient and anti-microbial foam cushion well suited for the client requiring moderate skin protection and positioning.

Super soft foam on the top, structural foam imbedded on the bottom sides. Together they balance comfort with support. Add in a layer of reticulated foam in the cover, and the Ion takes on the additional benefit of being able to absorb both heat and moisture

The Ion's thin fabric weave makes washing and drying the outer cover a snap. The inner water-resistant cover can be easily wiped off in seconds. When moisture strikes, cleanup is quick and easy.

Dual-Layered Foam Base with Varying Firmness:
Features a dual-layered foam base for a combination of structural support and comfort. For optimized immersion for each individual, the foam's firmness is determined by the cushion width, which directly corresponds with client weight.

The comfortable outer cover offers another benefit: it's antimicrobial. X-static® fabric is impregnated with silver. Studies show silver actually inhibits bacterial growth, which is one reason why it is frequently found in bandages, hosiery, and footwear to name a few.

To maximize immersion, reduce shear and help properly redistribute body weight, the Ion cover is designed with a stretchable low-shear cover material. This is important because reducing shear is a key factor in maintaining user tissue integrity.

Visco™ Memory Foam Top Layer:
The Ion's top layer of soft, Visco memory foam conforms to each individual and distributes weight over a larger area for pressure reduction and maximum comfort.

Innovative, Dual-Cover System:
For convenience and protection, the JAY Ion features a dual-cover system. The inner cover is water-resistant and easy to wipe off and clean, while its Aqua-guard zipper and anti-wicking thread protect the foam base from fluids. The machine-washable, stretch outer cover reduces surface tension and utilizes naturally anti-microbial, silver-impregnated X-static® fiber. A layer of 3DX spacer fabric promotes airflow and dissipates heat and moisture for additional skin protection.
