Padded U-Sling without Head Support

Hoyer's padded u-sling has 600-lb weight capacity and works for all kinds of transfers. Bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to commode are easier with this open bottom sling. The patient's bottom is always open so they won't be sitting on the sling when you set them down (see diagram below).

Padded fabric works best for transfers.

This is what the Hoyer U-Sling looks like when in use.

The bottom is open, yet the patient remains comfortable during transfers. The primary benefit is the patient is not sitting on the sling and it is easy to remove from a chair or wheelchair. Other "Hammock" style slings require wrestling with patient weight to remove from underneath them.

This U-Sling also doubles as a commode sling. With the open style bottom, patient can simply be placed directly onto the commode.
