The HPL500 is a versatile, heavy-duty mobile patient lift that can easily handle most any patient handling task. The HPL500 features of a hospital-grade, premium patient lift with a price you would expect to pay for a mid-range patient lift.
Astonishing range of movement: Patients will be safer and less anxious because the HPL500 keeps them at a greater distance from the lifting mechanism during transfer. This is accomplished by the HPL500’s unique ELR (Effective Lifting Range) making it the preferred choice for caregivers. This outstanding lifting range ensures the HPL500 can cope easily with the most critical of transfers:
- Maximum height is 76" which is especially useful when you have variable height beds or special lift mattresses
- Minimum height with a 6 point spreader bar is just 20" which ensures excellent off-the-floor transfers
Excellent for transfers chair-to-chair, bed-to-chair, floor-to-chair and chair-to-bath. Truly a caregiver super-tool.
Base clearance of 4 inches fits under most beds. Directional wheel guide for straight steering reduces stress on caregiver's back.
Emergency stop, power and manual lowering and audible low-battery warning provide ultimate safety.
The Hoyer HPL500 has a large 6-point cradle:6-point cradle, loop style spreader bar, is standard and is designed to be used in conjunction with the Hoyer range of slings.
Power Source:The HPL500 includes two battery packs and an off-board charging station. Visual and audible low-battery indicators are featured.
Optional Powered Base:The optional powered base allows the legs to be opened and closed by pushing a button instead of the standard foot pedals. This enables greater access around armchairs, wheelchairs and similar obstacles without bending or twisting. The powered base eliminates the need to manually open and close the legs with your foot.
Heavy-Duty Power:This heavy duty lift has 500 pound lifting capacity and meets the need of more patients. Power operated base allows the legs to be positioned where you need them.
Pickup from floor:Floor pick-up capability helps prevent caregiver strain and eliminates call to 911 for assistance picking someone up from the floor.
Important Shipping/Delivery Information:There is a 5-7 day lead time on this product and may take 2 weeks for delivery.
This is a curbside delivery. No other options available. Product is shipped in multiple cartons and light assembly is required. You will be required to bring in the boxes and perform needed assembly. Base and Mast/Boom are pre-assembled. Someone must be capable of lifting the mast/boom section and placing into the base assembly.

Hoyer HPL500 Warranty
The HPL500 lifts are guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty includes all mechanical and electrical components.
Structural components on lifts are covered under warranty for a period of five (5) years.
HoyerPro lifts contain various parts that wear from normal use. These parts, such as DC batteries and casters are not covered under the two-year warranty but are covered for 90 days.
Warranty applies in the USA only and item must be purchased through an authorized dealer.
This warranty is not transferable and only applies to the first consumer purchasing the item from an authorized supplier.
