Hoyer Bariatric Patient Lift
The HPL700 is a uniquely designed electronically operated patient lift for the safe lifting of heavier patients. It is both sturdy and robust with a safe working load rating of 700 lbs.
Base clearance of 4.5 inches fits under most beds. Directional wheel guide for straight steering reduces stress on caregiver's back.
Ergonomic, contoured design makes patient transfers simple. Long, padded handles offer various grip choices for users of different heights.
Emergency stop, power and manual lowering and audible low-battery warning provide ultimate safety.
The Hoyer HPL700 has a large 6-point cradle:The 6 point cradle system uses slings with webbing loops which allow positioning adjustment by selecting different colored straps. The large, open cradle results in less discomfort to the patient caused by pinching and squeezing.
Optional Digital Scale:Model HPL700WSC includes Digital Scale. The HPL700 has been designed to be configured with or without a weigh scale. The weigh scale is seamlessly integrated with a digital display on both sides and user-friendly controls. The optional scale allows the caregiver to adjust the position of the display for easier viewing. Simple, intuitive controls provide the resident’s weight in pounds or kilograms.
Power Source:The HPL700 includes two battery packs so you always have a backup on the included charging station. The Lift features both visual and audible low-battery indicators.
Powered Base:The powered base allows the legs to be opened and closed to enable access around armchairs, wheelchairs and similar obstacles without bending or twisting. The power base eliminates the manual spreader bar to operate the base legs.
Bariatric Power:This heavy duty lift has 700 pound lifting capacity and meets the need of more patients.
Pickup from floor:Floor pick-up capability helps prevent caregiver strain. In case of a fall, this lift can easily lift a Bariatric patient from the floor to a seated surface.
Important Shipping/Delivery Information:This is a curbside delivery. No other options available. Product is shipped in multiple cartons and light assembly is required. You will be required to bring in the boxes and perform needed assembly. Base and Mast/Boom are pre-assembled. Someone must be capable of lifting the mast/boom section and placing into the base assembly.
Overview of HPL700 Operation:Raising and Lowering the Boom:The movement of the boom is achieved by a powerful electric actuator which is controlled by a simple hand control unit. The hand control has two buttons with directional arrows UP («) and DOWN (»). The actuator stops automatically at the limit of travel in both directions. The hand control plugs into a socket at the base of the control box.
Leg Adjustment:The legs on the Hoyer HPL700 are electrically adjustable for width. The legs can be opened to enable access around armchairs or wheelchairs. For transferring and negotiating narrow doorways and passages, the lift legs should be in the closed position. Electric leg adjustment is achieved by pressing the appropriate buttons on the hand control. The legs will be locked whenever the hand control switch is released.
Casters and Braking:The lift has two braked casters which can be applied for parking. When lifting, the casters should be left free and un-braked (the only exception is when lifting a patient from the floor). The lift will then be able to move to the center of gravity of the lift. If the brakes are applied it is the patient that will swing to the center of gravity and this may prove disconcerting and uncomfortable.
Batteries:The batteries are protected from deep discharge by a LOW VOLTAGE ALARM. This will sound when the batteries need recharging and the hand control is being operated. It will not sound independently of the hand control being operated.
