24 volt, 5 amp charger for sealed lead-acid and GEL batteries. Can be uses with 115 or 230AC voltage (switchable).
Quicker charge times with this 5AMP charger.
Scooters or power wheelchairs that use U1, 22NF and GRP24 size batteries. Will also work on smaller batteries.
The 5amp charger has a round plug with 3 connectors inside it, just like #08 the picture below. This is the most common type of plug on power wheelchairs and scooters. On power wheelchairs this is usually located on the underneath side of your joystick.
Fully automatic charger with L.E.D.'s that signal charging and ready stages and stops charging when the batteries are fully charged.
For AGM Batteries the charger provides Three charger states. An integrated circuit monitors and controls both the output voltage and current of the charger through three states:
A High Current Fast Charge State: battery charges at 5000mA fast charge current rate until battery voltage reaches 29.6 Volts.
Topping Charge Rate: Battery charges at 29.6V constant voltage and current begins to taper until current is less than 1000mA.
A Precision Float Charge State: the charger changes to the float state and hold the battery voltage at 27.6 Volts
For GEL Batteries the charger provides Three Charge States. An integrated circuit monitors and controls both the output and current of the charger through three separate states:
A High Current Fast Charge State: battery charges at 5000mA fast charge current rate until battery voltage reaches 28.8 Volts.
A Topping Charge State: Battery charges at 28.8 volts constant voltage and current begins to taper off until current is less than 1000 mA.
A Precision Float Charge: The charger changes to the float state and hold the battery voltage at 26.7volts.
