Med-Aire Alternating Pressure Mattress Overlay

Alternating Pressure Mattress Overlay System with Low Air Loss to optimize pressure redistribution and manage skin maceration.

Alternating Pressure:
The Med-Aire APM provides pressure relief in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. This Overlay System attaches to the top of a standard mattress. The Med-Aire overlay is 5" high. This 5" additional height may effect bed rail's usable height or functionality so to be sure the distance from the top of your existing mattress to top of the existing bed rails. This powered mattress overlay has a total of 17 bladders with 5" height for superior pressure reduction. The cycle time for Alternating Pressure is 10 minutes. The 3 bladders at the head of the mattress do not cycle, they stay static for patient comfort.

Low Air Loss Mode:
The Med-Aire Overlay also offers Low-Air-Loss therapy.

The waterproof cover is made of non-shear nylon and has nylon tie down straps with buckles for attaching the mattress to the bed. The mattress has a 17 bladders, each bladder is 5" high. In addition, there is a 2" foam safety pad under the nylon cover.

This Med-Aire mattress overlay has a non-skid bottom and is secured with end-flaps.

Standard Hospital/Homecare Bed Size:
Affordable with added comfort, this alternating pressure mattress is available in the standard 36" x 80" size (Twin XL).
