Economical alternating pressure mattress replacement system. This Group II support surface consists of 20 - 8" Bladders.
Alternating pressure therapeutics support system with on demand low air loss, 50 LPM compressor, automatic pressure monitoring and automatic wireless fowler. The MA65 series mattress improves air circulation and cools the body temperature with a unique system of air released into the mattress.
The microAIR APM provides pressure relief in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
microAIR Technology:
New wireless fowler technology, real time pressure monitoring and energy conserving power units combine to make microAIR surfaces the most efficient dynamic support surfaces in the market. Within the power units is a pressure transducer that maintains surface pressure not to exceed 32mm/Hg. The solenoid valve within the compressor opens and closes the air valve automatically to maintain the pressure relief range prescribed. The compressor turns off to save energy when the patient is in the range.
Wireless Fowler Technology is an innovation exclusive that assures patient comfort. From time to time patients need to sit up in bed, which creates the problem of additional pressure in the coccyx area and possible disruption of treatment.
Working in sync with the power unit, the transmitter installed in the head section of the mattress signals the power unit when the head portion begins to raise. The power unit immediately begins adding 25% more air to the mattress to prevent patient contact with a hard surface.
microAIR Control Panel:
microAIR Control Panel. Treatment times are 5, 10, 15, and 20 minute cycles.
Alternating Pressure Mode:
The alternating pressure times indicate the frequency of deflation or inflation of half of the air cushions (even or odd numbered). For example, 10 minutes is selected. In this example, the even numbered air cushions in the mattress will deflate, while the odd numbered cushions remain at constant pressure. When 10 minutes has elapsed, the even numbered air cushions will inflate while the odd numbered cushions remain at constant pressure. When 10 minutes has elapsed again, the odd numbered air cushions deflate while the even numbered cushions remain at constant pressure. The air cushions continue to inflate or deflate like this as long as an alternating pressure time has been selected. At all times, half of the air cushions remain at a constant pressure when an alternating pressure time has been selected.
Static Mode:
all air cushions in the mattress are maintained at constant pressure. The Static LED is illuminated GREEN.
Minimum Pressure Setting:
The minimum pressure setting during Alternating Pressure is set to 0 (2 mmHg) at the factory. This means that the mattress will deflate as much as possible during the deflation time when using 10, 15 or 20 minute Alternating Pressure times. The setting can be changed so the mattress will only deflate to 50% of the selected pressure setting.
MA65SRS Model:
The MA65SRS has raised side rail bolsters.
microAIR Mattress:
The waterproof cover is made of non-shear nylon and has nylon tie down straps with buckles for attaching the mattress to the bed. The mattress has a 20 bladders. In addition, there is a 2" foam safety pad under the nylon cover.
This microAIR mattress has a non-skid bottom and is secured with 10 nylon web buckled hold-downs. When rolled up for storage, carrying handles allow for easy transport.
Standard or Bariatric Hospital/Homecare Bed Size:
Affordable with added comfort, this alternating pressure mattress is available in the standard 36" x 80" size (Twin XL) or Bariatric widths 42"W and 48"W with up to 1000-lb capacity.
