Half-Length vs, Full-Length Bed Rails
Choose bed rails based on the needs of the patient as well as the caregiver. Half-length rails are mounted shoulder-high and the patient can lower/raise the rails themselves. Full-length rails have a spring release at the head and the foot of the bed that must be used to raise/lower the rails, the patient cannot normally crawl to the foot to release this mechanism.
