The Apex Stella Electric Stand Assist Lift is designed for secure patient transfers.
The Stand-Up style lift is easier to use than a standard Hoyer Lift for transfers to wheelchair or commode. However, the Stand-Up style Lift requires the patient to get into a sitting position on the side of the bed. Unlike standard Hoyer/Patient lifts, the Stand-Up Lift cannot lift the patient from a lying position.
The SAL1230 has one of the highest safe working loads in the industry and when used with the unique Apex deluxe sling, it provides unparalleled comfort and safety. Extra sling loops on the lift mast allow the SAL1230 to double as a commode lift for increased flexibility.

Figure "A" below shows the Stella being used as stand-assist.
Figure "B" shows the Stella being used as a sit-down transport by using the Buttocks Support Sling.
Lumbar and underarm pads provide maximum comfort as this sling will not ride up. Use with our Stella lifts or to replace uncomfortable competitive slings. For those that require some additional initial lift assistance an optional buttocks strap attachment is available. The buttocks strap can be used as a transport sling.
