U-Step II Walking Stabilizer model: U-Step II, US-PC2
Passive Control, Model US-PC2, Parkinson's Therapy Aid
Reverse braking system. The U-Step II Walker brake system works opposite of typical walker. Squeeze to walk.
The U-Step has all the features you wanted in an advanced walker.
The innovative braking system is easy to use and puts you in complete control. The U-Step will not roll unless you are ready to walk. When you lightly squeeze a hand brake, the unit will roll with you. Once you release the hand brake the unit will stop immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing up from a chair because, the unit will not roll away from you.
The U-Step Walking Stabilizer was created to increase your independence. The secret is in the patented U shaped base. Its ultra-stable foundation braces you in every direction. It is not like pushing a walker. Instead, the U-Step surrounds you and moves with you. You will feel as stable as you would feel holding onto another person’s arm.
Folding Walker: Folds easily for compact storage or transport.
Padded Seat: Includes padded seat and underseat basket.
Frame Color: black
Delivery, Lead-Time: Unfortunately, the U-Step Walker is taking 6-8 weeks for delivery. The factory is producing this walker as fast as they can, but they are overwhelmed with orders since it is one of the only reverse-brake walkers on the market.
Recommended at dozens of major Parkinson’s centers! Used by thousands of people with Parkinson’s. More on the Reverse Brake System: Slightly squeezing one or both the brake levers releases the brake, and the backrest flips over and toward the user so that it can be used instead of the handlebars. When the backrest is flipped back, it also serves as a brake release. The user simply pushes down to release the walker (see video below).
Laser Light Option: Laser Light helps prevent freezing.
If you suffer from freezing episodes, U-Step II has a solution. Introducing LaserLight, an optional feature of the U-Step. Simply press the red button on the handlebar and a bright red laser line is projected on the floor for you to step over. See projected line illustrated below. It is amazing! The laser offers an entirely safe, obstacle-free, visual cue that helps you break the “freezing episode,” and walk normally with increased stride length.
