Quickie GT Wheelchair
Using the design principals of the highly successful Quickie Ti Titanium, the Quickie GT enters the market as one of the lightest aluminum chairs in the world. A basic 16 X 16 chair with 24" rear spoke-wheels weighs a mere 20.5 lbs. This unparalleled low weight, combined with multiple patent-pending on-chair adjustment systems, provides an UltraLight chair with the flexibility to meet a wide variety of user needs and wishes.
Extremely UltraLight Aluminum Frame
The Quickie GT has a 20.5 lbs. total chair weight (16 X 16 std. config - see order form). The frame transport-weight for the same configuration is 12.3 lbs. This is one of the lowest frame-weights in the world. Throw it on a scale next to any comparably sized aluminum model and see for yourself.
Open-Frame Design
The Quickie GT's "L" shaped mono-frame design is perfect for transporting in and out of vehicles. The optional folding push-handles and the standard folding backrest combined with the "L" frame-shape makes the Quickie GT frame easier to move across the driver's seat than most non-folding and folding aluminum-frame chairs.
Front and Rear Optional-Suspension
The Quickie GT features optional front Frog-Legs and rear Quickie custom elastomer style suspension systems. These two systems can be purchased separately or in combination to provide the ultimate smooth ride. Throw in the mountain-wheel option and 6" wide front caster-wheels and the chair is ready for an off-road adventure.
Features:
The Quickie GT frame can be modified five different ways: seat width, seat depth, front-frame angle (85 � or 75 �), frame inset (0", 1", or 2"), and seat angle (up to 16 � on some configurations). This group of choices gives users the ability to customize the chair frame to fit their individual needs.
Each of the Quickie GT axle systems: Standard, Amputee and Suspension, are supported by an infinite center-of-gravity adjustment within a 3.5" range. This frame design lets users find the perfect center-of-gravity point for maximum chair performance.
The two adjustable front caster-housing systems feature our patented interlocking-spline design. These housings provide 8� of forward and 8� of rearward adjustment. They can also be adjusted by simply loosening a screw in top of the housing. This type of flexibility provides a multitude of caster, fork, and rear-wheel combinations that are not available on models featuring fixed caster-housings.
For users who prefer forward offset solid backrest, the Quickie GT features a unique optional offset backrest adjustment-system. This frame option maintains a constant seat-depth even when a solid backrest mounts 1" or 2" in front of the backposts.
Other unique features found on the Quickie GT include: travel wheels, for use in narrow plane, train, and bus aisle ways; caster pin-locks, for use anywhere it is important to keep the front frame locked in a forward position; and grade-aids, for use on steep hills.
Boasting one of the lowest frame weights in the world, the Quickie GT provides amazing flexibility and an almost endless variety of customization options that can meet a wide range of rider needs and preferences. The frame weighs as little as 12.3 pounds � compare that to any similarly-sized aluminum model and see the difference!
The open-frame design, which is highly customizable, is ideal for transport with optional folding push handles and folding backrest. You�ll benefit from one of the broadest adjustment ranges available with the angle-adjustable backrest, adjusting up to 28 degrees in 4-degree increments. This backrest also features a patent-pending spline-adjustment system where by accessing just one bolt per side you can quickly make backrest-angle adjustments � even with the rider in the chair.
