The PVC pipe in these products is specially formulated for furniture use. It has strength combined with resilience to give you a hard working, aesthetically pleasing product. Protection against the effects of U-V rays is built into our formula so it is at home in direct sunlight or inside. PVC makes an excellent choice in high humidity environments and in sanitary environments because it will not corrode and will not promote bacterial growth. It can be easily cleaned and maintains its attractive appearance through years of service.
Stainless steel fasteners are used in Anthros chairs and are available in our casters to give you a product that is totally corrosion free. The twin wheel composite casters with polyurethane treads offer a cushioning effect to the product and make it quieter on tile and cement floors than a traditional nylon caster. All of the fabric on Anthros products is PVC coated polyester for ease of cleaning and stain resistance.
