Lateral Rotation Mattress Systems

These rotational mattress systems were developed for patients who are at risk of circulation problems and bed sores. When an immobile patient is left in one position, infection to vital organs and pulmonary and respiratory systems can develop in a short period of time. Turning and shifting patient body weight greatly reduces the risk of developing these problems.

Most lateral rotation systems allow the caretaker to program the control unit to perform the rotation at set intervals, rather than flip a switch whenever rotation is needed.

These lateral rotation mattress systems are also used for treating and successfully healing pressure sores.
