Description
Hoyer Padded U-Sling
Padded U-Sling is available with or without Head Support and has 600-lb weight capacity. Great for transfers from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to commode. The patient's bottom is always open so they won't be sitting on the sling when you set them down (see diagram below).
Sling with Head support option is recommended for patients that cannot hold their head up or have little upper-body strength. Otherwise, the regular u-sling is your best bet for easy, comfortable transfers.
Padded fabric works best for transfers.
For use with any patient lifter.
Does not use chains.

This is what the Hoyer U-Sling looks like when in use.
The bottom is open, yet the patient remains comfortable during transfers. The primary benefit is the patient is not sitting on the sling and it is easy to remove from a chair or wheelchair. Other "Hammock" style slings require wrestling with patient weight to remove from underneath them.
This U-Sling also doubles as a commode sling. With the open style bottom, patient can simply be placed directly onto the commode.
