Hospital Bed Dimensions- Hospital beds have a sleep surface of 36"W x 80"L. Hospital Bed overall measurements are 38"W x 84"L.
- Most hospital beds come in XL Length, which is 80". However, a 4" extension kit exists for most of the popular hospital beds so the length can be extended another 4".
- If you need more space you'll have to see the Homecare Adjustable Beds that are available in standard sizing: Full (54" x 80"), Queen (60" x 80"), or King (76" x 80").
Medicare Hospital Beds- We do not bill Medicare for Hospital Beds delivered thru an Internet purchase. You must visit a local dealer that rents beds and bills Medicare. Hospital Beds are a 'Capped Rental' item thru Medicare. Medicare covers 80% of the monthly rental for a year. After that period you may elect to purchase the hospital bed from the dealer.
- Medicare covers only a Semi-Electric Hospital Bed. If you want a Full-Electric Hospital Bed you have to pay the difference out of pocket. (or have a secondary insurance that covers the difference)
