Med-Aire Essential Alternating Pressure & Low Air Loss Mattress

Mattress size: 35.5"W x 80"L x 8"H

This economical mattress system may be all you need to get protection against skin issues. With this mattress system's Alternating Pressure running at a 10 minute cycle time and full control over mattress firmness you can a great prevention surface for a low price and not sacrifice comfort. The mattress measures a full 8" in height and you won't bottom out even with the bed's head raised. The mattress follows the positioning of the bed.

Alternating Pressure:
The Med-Aire Essential APM provides pressure relief in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. This Alternating Pressure System uses a pump with easy to use controls. This powered mattress has 18 each 8" bladders for superior pressure reduction.

Low Air Loss Mode:
The Med-Aire Essential System also provides Low-Air-Loss therapy. Ideal for wicking away any moisture from patient perspiration and incontinence.

The fluidproof cover is made of non-shear nylon and has nylon tie down straps for attaching the mattress to the bed.

Standard Hospital/Homecare Bed Size:
Affordable with added comfort, this alternating pressure mattress is available in the standard hospital bed size, 36" x 80" size (Twin XL).

INTENDED USE
The Med-Aire Essential 14508 pump and mattress are intended to help reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers while optimizing patient comfort.

PUMP
The functions of the Med-Aire Essential 14508 pump are described below. Please refer to the figures of the 14508 pump.

Power Switch (1)
  • The switch is at the right side of the pump
  • Turn ON/OFF the power, the pump will start/stop operation

Pressure Adjust Knob adjustable by patientís weight (2)
Turn the Pressure Adjust Knob to set a comfortable pressure level by using the weight scale as a guide.

Normal Pressure Indicator (3)
A visible indicator (green) tells the pressure has reached a preset or user-defined level.

Low Pressure Indicator (4)
A visible indicator (yellow or red) warns the pressure is below a preset or user-defined level.

Alarm Reset (5)
  • The audible/visible alarm turns on when the pressure is low
  • To mute the audible alarm, press the reset button (the visible alarm indicator will flash)
  • Re-press the reset button to reactivate the alarm
Static Control (6)
Press to set the air mattress in static mode.

It was good I just wish it wasn't 3 prong it has been really difficult we still haven't been able to hook it up we now have to get electrical work done extension cord doesn't give enough to keep it blown up. But other then that wish it was longer
